Twitter’s co-founder and ex-CEO Jack Dorsey has launched the Android version of an alternative app to Twitter.
According to their website, the app Bluesky will allow users to make more choices and free people from platforms.
The app, being in its developmental stage, requires an invite code to access. Dorsey had started working on the app as a side project in 2019. Currently, the app has about 20,000 users.
The app will allow users to choose how content is fed on their screens instead of a one-fits-all algorithm controlled by the developers.
Bluesky is now one of the alternatives to the Elon Musk-owned platform after the billionaire purchased the platform and started making changes both to the site and the company. Users tired of Musk’s antics have turned to available options like Mastodon, Hive, and now Bluesky.
To gain access to Bluesky, users must submit their email on the Bluesky website and join the waitlist for an invite code.
