Born on September 26th, 1970, in Anambra State, Nigeria, Blossom spent the majority of her life in Lagos. Hailing from a distinguished lineage, with His Royal Highness Igwe Dr. Walter Chukwunwe Eze and Her Royal Highness Mrs. Justina Nebechiaya Eze as parents, she was destined for greatness.

Blossom’s educational journey began at Premier Primary School in Onitsha, Anambra State, before she moved to Federal Government Girls’ College, Owerri, Imo State, for her secondary education. Graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Nigeria in 1994, she continued to expand her knowledge, earning a Master’s in Business Administration in Lagos in 2007 and a master’s in Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland in 2013.

Armed with a diverse educational background, Blossom’s career soared. Holding certificates from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and Columbia University Business School, she became a member of prestigious medical institutions in Nigeria.

Blossom’s ascent in the healthcare sector was marked by determination and hard work. With over 28 years of postgraduate clinical, community health, research, and administrative experience, she became a global voice advocating for the improvement of healthcare, particularly for children, adolescents, women, and their families.

In 2021, Blossom played a pivotal role in bolstering Nigeria’s health sector, focusing on clinical care, rural health services, community engagement, and research. Her leadership in containing the measles outbreak through mass vaccinations showcased her commitment to public health.

Facing the delicate choice between career and family, Blossom, as a Chief Registrar at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital, navigated the challenges of balancing work and family life. Her struggles echoed the broader dilemma faced by many women in similar positions.

Blossom’s influence extended beyond national borders. As a Consultant to the World Health Organisation, UNICEF, and USAID, she championed the cause of strengthening healthcare systems for Universal Health Care delivery.

Her relentless pursuit of medical excellence and advocacy for healthcare systems earned Blossom global recognition. She became a beacon, inspiring the next generation of medical leaders.
